RedKite AV are an accomplished Project & Programme Management and AV Consultancy headed by Alan Williams, with over 14 years of experience in Audio-Visual (AV) Systems Integration, spending 11 of those managing & consulting on projects across the globe. Alan, as Projects Director for Atlas AV Ltd & now RedKite AV Ltd, has been responsible for the successful delivery of projects ranging in value from single projector boardroom installations, through to £6M+ projects with hundreds of exhibits & complex bespoke interactives, controls systems and shows. In addition to this, Alan was responsible for delivering multiple of these large budget projects simultaneously.

Alan’s success in delivering projects in this industry is a result of his technical knowledge and awareness of the priorities required and needs of all stakeholders and contractors. Starting his career as a Mechatronic Modern Apprentice for LG Electronics, moving to a role within their Design department, and on completion of his BSc & MEng, he began his career in AV. His early role in the industry was as a Product Designer & Developer designing AV equipment for the Museum & Heritage market. 

In completing AV projects, Alan utilises his engineering qualifications, AV training & prior experience in the manufacturing environment, alongside his exposure to the technical benefits and pitfalls of integrating an array of equipment specifications.

With the capacity to understand the work requirement, Alan is able to identify with and collaborate with all building trades on a given project, ensuring that the works being undertaken fit into the project timeline alongside these other disciplines. This ensures the original design intent remains and client and stakeholder priorities are met.

A highly motivated, industrious and a reliable professional, Alan has effective communication, leadership, and project management skills. Alan has demonstrated the ability to ease the transition from a customer’s theoretical design to the seamlessly installed inspirational experience desired. 

Alan has a successful record of accomplishment in project management, experienced in all levels of AV design, installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance. Understanding, innovative and a strong resource to designer/client/contractor alike, reacting & adapting to changes with design and other requirements of a project and any other developments which may arise.

On leaving Atlas AV in 2017 Alan established RedKite AV, allowing him to return to what he enjoys most, a more direct Project Manager / Consultant relationship with clients, designers and main contractors and being an integral part of the project process once more.
